Job Description

This role in question is for a dynamic individual to lead a small team principally involved in undertaking strategic environmental assessments (SEAs) and sustainability appraisals (SAs).

You would mainly be working on outside SEA or SA commissions for public and private sector clients. Or as a specialist in a multi-disciplinary team working on high profile building and infrastructure projects.

To be successful, you will have a passion for:

- Preparation of SEAs and SAs of plans, programmes and masterplans (UK and international) for development and funding institutions, and various other private and public sector clients.
- Supervision of more junior staff and responsibility for technical quality.
- Liaison with clients.
- Management of project budgets
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams with other environmental specialists, planners, architects, engineers.
- Preparing proposals for new work and assisting in marketing activities.
- Knowledge sharing and training.
- Reporting directly to the Associate Director leading EIA business in London.

Requirements:

- An honours degree in a relevant subject. Qualification to MSc level would be an advantage
- Membership of a relevant institution
- Experience of undertaking and managing SEAs and SAs.
- Excellent knowledge of UK and European SEA and SA legislation and guidance.
