Overview. A well-established groundworks & civil engineering business, turning over £20m annually, offering a range of services to the construction industry in London and the South East, including the Home Counties is currently seeking an additional Contracts Manager, to join their team, from either a main civils contractor or a specialist civils or groundworks background for new housing & civils projects. Your role will require Head Office visits on a monthly basis but will primarily be site based, covering from 3 to 8 depending on the status and size of the jobs.

Groundworks
Civil engineering
Remediation
Bulk earthwork
Highway work
Current Requirement. Civils orientated Contracts Manager from either an Engineering or a trades background, with a sound Commercial Civils understanding, able to run work from £1.2 to £6m on residential developments and associated roads & highways with the associated interface with Local Authorities, Service Providers and the general public. You will be expected to be fully accountable for the successful running of these projects.
Location. The company works throughout the south- east, with an emphasis on projects within half an hour of the M25. The preferred area of work for this new position would give you access to projects in an area bordered by the M3 in the south-west and the M11 to the east, skirting the M25.
Qualifications are not essential if you can demonstrate a sound understanding of the industry.
Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to progress your career with a growing company, embracing their forward looking approach to Health & Safety are required.
