The requirement is for an energetic and enthusiastic Engineer with civil Engineering experience, who is capable of taking a responsible and pro-active role, in dealing with the daily workload.

Formed 12 years ago, the company is a groundworks and civil engineering contractor working principally for major housing developers, constructing roads, sewers and groundworks for new estates.

Contracts range in value from £50,000 to £6 million, and annual turnover is in excess of £20 million. Approximately 30% of turnover is for constructing new Adopted roads and sewers. The Company is approved by a number of County Councils to carry out Public Works of this kind.

Your role would be a roving one, covering a number of sites, the number dictated by the complexity and requirements, site by site. You would be expected to work with the very capable Foremen in providing all the setting out information they need to progress the works. You would need to discuss drawing queries and anomalies with the developers, or design team, as relevant.

In return a salary of £36 to £38,000 plus a fully resourced company vehicle, 4 x 4, or generous car allowance, plus substantial bonuses, generally 15% plus, based on personal productivity, and the opportunity to progress your career with the company. Preferably with a Degree in Civil Engineering or suitable tertiary qualification, definitely a car driver / license holder, ideally CSCS certified, but primarily an enthusiastic hard worker.

Working in the Surrey area and surrounding counties. The company promotes from within, so there are very genuine opportunities to progress up the management ladder if you prove capable of taking on additional responsibilities.
