This role will give you the opportunity to get involved in negotiations, giving technical advice, pre- application advice, appeal submissions and talking to high level clients. The ideal candidate will be eloquent, personable and able to rise to the challenge as the job will involve bringing in business. Excellent communication skills are therefore important, with particular emphasis on report writing and tendering abilities. Due to the nature of retail planning, an excellent head for figures and an interest in analysing both qualitative and quantitative data would be highly advantageous.
This role will include the opportunity to travel around when going to site visits, so you will ideally have a driving license. The nature of the work and the prestige of the company are such that you must be chartered by a relevant industry body, such as the RTPI, PIA or NZPI.
In return, you will be helping to establish this sector within the central London office, so you will have a major involvement in the planning process, greater responsibility and increased prospects for promotion.
