Job Description

You should ideally be Degree/HND/HNC qualified and have a minimum of 2 years experience in civil infrastructures, working to UK Standards and regulations being conversant with Section 38, 104, 106 and 278 Agreements. Good AutoCAD skills are required supported by AutoDesk Land Development Desktop. Experience of WinDes by MicroDrainage would be advantageous. Good communication skill and the ability to manage own workload effectively is essential.

Working within a team and reporting directly to the Principal Engineer you will be required to carry out the following duties:
· Be responsible for management of projects
· Carry out engineering design and detailing specifically the preparation of detailed drawings and calculations to obtain technical approval for adoptable highway, or sewerage schemes in accordance with national and local authority specifications including S38 and S278 for highways and S104, S106 and S98 etc for sewerage, preparation of private drainage layouts, external levels, geometric setting out, and construction details etc. for residential, commercial and industrial schemes for NHBC or Building Regulation approval.
· Undertake Site Inspections as required.
· Liaise and communicate with external professionals
· Represent the consultancy at client meetings and in writing
· Control the programmed performance of projects
· Comply with the requirements of the QA system
