Job Description

Our client is a leading real estate development company in Dubai that has been instrumental in conceptualizing some of the regions largest developments in recent times. They are seeking a project design manager who will be responsible for the review and monitoring of design activities and coordination of technical issues with focus on a 200 hectare mixed use master plan in Dubai. Projects are high rise commercial and residential towers, retail and leisure complexes. Working client side, your key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: prepare requests for proposals including technical design scopes for consultants and identify design elements and deliverables to be undertaken for projects; prepare information packages for projects to issue to consultants and other project participants; evaluate consultant proposals; manage design schedules, monitor design progress and coordinate with project management consultants; ensure incorporation of best practices in building design where relevant; review construction drawings and specifications prepared by design consultants and make recommendations accordingly; liaise with statutory authorities to secure design approvals; review and comment design submittals to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements; develop design guidelines and drafting standards. You will be suitably qualified with a degree in architecture or an associated discipline with proven experience in a related field some of which should be in a property development environment. Experience in large scale and high profile projects is essential. Superb long term career prospects and starting salary to AED 45,000 per month + full package (c£75,000 tax free).
