Job Description

We seek technically orientated people, with a civil engineering bias, to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team doing the ‘hands-on’ design. Communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Main duties will include:

1. Producing outline calculations, sketches and designs for a variety of structures including chambers, buildings, retaining walls, site roads and water retaining RC structures. As well as foundation slabs for steel & pre-cast concrete panel tanks and equipment.

2. Interpreting process layouts and establishing civil engineering requirements.

3. Advising the teams on buildability issues related to design and construction.

4. Looking at a variety of options for the civil engineering aspects of small and medium sized wastewater treatment plants.

5. Interpreting site investigation reports.

6. Providing details and sketches to enable the Estimators to prepare costs.

7. Structural inspections and evaluations of existing facilities being upgraded.

8. Have an understanding of current costs for civil engineering works and prepare budget costs for options.
