Our client currently has a number of opportunities for Hydraulics Engineers to join the Process and Hydraulics team, based in the Engineering Service Centre in Birchwood Warrington. They would welcome applications from candidates at all levels for these positions and successful candidates will be appointed as Hydraulics Engineers or Senior Hydraulics Engineers, depending their experience. The team are currently delivering feasibility design work and detail design work on various AMP programmes across the country.

Reporting to the Hydraulic Technical Leader, the main responsibilities will be:

-To produce and manage the production of, appropriate, robust, reliable operable, maintainable and cost effective hydraulic designs.
-To ensure that outputs are delivered to agreed schedules and budgets.
-To ensure that activities undertaken are in accordance with H&S Legislation and accepted Industry Practices.
-To ensure that all outputs are in accordance with the QA system, i.e. checked and verified calculations, drawings, reports and specifications. -To assist the Hydraulic Technical Leader in the development of the Hydraulic Team’s technical knowledge base and graduate staff.
-To undertake resource planning for projected workloads.
-To contribute to the content and development of signature designs
-To take an active role in the promotion of the Hydraulics KB To provide support and advice to other users of MWH software such as HADES and H2Onet.
-To provide specialist input into bid work undertaken by the company.
