Job Description
A large housing association is looking for a Maintenance Surveyor for an initial 3 month contract.
You will be travelling around Hertfordshire, East London and throughout Essex. Your duties will include inspecting building defects reported by residents, writing survey reports, estimates and specifying repairs using schedule of rates. You will be inspecting voids and supervising work carried out by contractors. Upon completion of work you will be required to check and make sure it has been done according to specification and the associations health & safety policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have experience of working for a property maintenance organisation such as a Registered Social Landlord or Building maintenance contractor. You will have previous experience of surveying, specifying and instructing contractors. It is essential that you have a working knowledge of Building Regulations, schedule of rates and strong technical knowledge of building defects, causes and remedies.
