Site Engineer - RC & Groundworks. Required for a new commercial project in central London. The contractor has regular and repeat work, with an already impressive track record in delivering both large and small projects within budget on target and of superior quality. The expertise comes from a team of highly motivated professional employees already involved.

This project is a top down RC basement construction on a restricted site, with a tunnel and basement box to one side, so you will need to be technically aware and on the ball. Overall the value to the contractor is £3.5m over a 72 week programme and a freelance engineer will be required for the duration. The Site Manager is also an Engineer.

The scope of operations requires that the Engineer has a good Civils background and has a good working knowledge of temporary works. Your role will involve setting out, say 20%, with the bulk of the time spent on technically appraising the existing drawings and sourcing further information, pre-planning and programming. The Contractor works primarily on major refurbishment and new build commercial schemes, both low rise steel frame and multi-storey RC frames, with the associated infrastructure of such projects.

An experienced enthusiastic Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant site and contractor based experience is needed, with an up to date understanding of Health & Safety requirements. There are good future prospects, with ongoing work on future projects if required. Applicants must be able demonstrate relevant recent UK experience and be permitted to live and work in the UK.
