A south London Borough requires an experienced Town Planner to join their Policy section.

You role will be to act as the Council’s Planning Obligations Officer, be responsible for managing, in all respects of the Council’s Planning Obligation and Section 106 Agreement Service.

You will advise on policy, processes and procedures for planning obligations and the like and to assist in the securing, delivery and use, to the benefit of the local community, of planning obligation contributions and the like required to mitigate the impact of development.

To advise planning colleagues in the case for planning obligations necessary to address/mitigate the impact of development proposals. Liaise with other service providers and delivery agencies including local stakeholders on the requirements for planning obligations arising from any development proposal.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in a similar role previously and must be able to hit the ground running. You will hold a Town Planning degree and have a good knowledge and understanding of the Planning Obligation/Section 106 System currently in operation in England and Wales.
