Job Description

SITE MANAGER / ENGINEER. New project involving initial demolition and some land remediation, to be carried out by specialist sub-contractors, so an understanding of the technical aspects of both these processes would be an advantage. Either a Permanent or a Freelance option is available, the calibre of the candidate is important.

Construction will involve traditional ground-works, drainage, piles and ground-beams, with the ground floor slab power floated to a high quality finish. The units will have mixed blockwork and proprietary cladding to the exterior over a steel frame.

Ideally with a broad Engineering background you will be capable of organising this site from day one. Starting with initial site set up you will be able to stay for the 40 week contract as this £2.1 million scheme develops. Management of directly employed labour as well as overseeing specialist sub-contractors you will need to oversee the Engineer, assisting as necessary

Good communication skills are required and you will be IT literate, able to liaise with the various statutory bodies involved with this work and above all represent our client in a professional manner.

An opportunity to start at the outset of the project, with a 40 week programme, the Contractor is seeking a committed candidate for the role. A 5 or 5.5 day week will operate. Ideally CSCS certified and with a current First Aid certificate, you should be a car driver. Excellent rewards for the right candidate.
