VALUATION SURVEYOR - CREDIT RISK APPRAISAL

A leading investment bank is looking for an experienced Valuation Surveyor with particular experience focusing on the valuation of real estate within the UK.

The candidate is likely to be presently working either within the Valuation or Investment departments of a firm of Chartered Surveyors or be employed by a financial institution involved in real estate financing. Experience in Valuation for Loan Security would be beneficial.

The role will be to support the existing CRM Valuation team based in London working closely with the UK Conduit team. This team is involved with CMBS financing of real estate across the UK dealing with loans ranging from £2m - £75m. There is also scope for involvement in some European appraisal work.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of UK valuation practice and have experience in a cross section of property sectors. Some knowledge of European valuation practice would also be of benefit, but is not essential.

The responsibilities of the role include interalia the instruction of valuers, the review of valuations, the appraisal of property in house, the liaison with all members of the Conduit team and general advice to the lending team.

Candidates need to be prepared to travel throughout the UK and should have a clean driving licence.
