Graduate Geotechnical Engineer
Birmingham
£16-19K plus benefits
My client is looking to employ a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to work in their Birmingham office.
Main Duties:-
· Assisting with Network Rail and Highways Agency projects. Mainly with the analysis of slope instability, designing of slope remediation solutions.
· Assisting with the design of foundations and buried structures for infrastructure and superstructure renewals and new developments.
· Supervision of contractors undertaking site investigations
· Undertaking site assessments and geomorphological mapping exercises.
Skills/Experience:
· BEng Civil Engineering or BSc Geology or Engineering Geology
· MSc Foundation Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (would be preferred)
· Site investigation experience, some knowledge of logging soil and rock to BS 5930
· Full clean driving license.
