Job Description

This South Coast council is looking for someone with Development Control experience to join the department and undertake the processing of minor applications, mixed and change of use and listed building applications.

There is also the chance to get involved in larger schemes also as well as applications relating to telecommunications.

Covering 323 square miles, this council is the largest district in East Sussex, and is home to some of the most attractive countryside in the South of England.

Its many responsibilities include housing, planning, building control, waste collection, recycling, emergency planning and economic regeneration.
With two-thirds of the district covered by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as 34 conservation areas and over 2,500 listed buildings, it has to place a high value on protecting the countryside
