Job Description
A northwest London Borough is looking to appoint a planner to join their landscape division.
The role will involve dealing with the landscape aspects of planning applications. Providing detailed advice to officers of The Planning Service and applicants on the environmental impact and landscape requirements of planning applications.
The main areas of work are relating to the statutory Town Planning function of the Council and some minor design project work and dealing with the landscape aspects of planning applications.
We are looking for some with good landscape design knowledge and the ability to apply that to planning applications and policy. Particularly there is a need to communicate and negotiate will applicants for planning consent, often in situations of disagreement and occasionally conflict.
The ideal candidate will hold a Town Planning degree and have previous experience in similar role. Planner without landscape experience are welcome to apply as long as the feel they are confident to do the job.
