Job Description
An outer south London Borough requires a TPO officer to join their planning department.
The main scope of the job is to make Tree Preservation Orders in accordance with the relevant legislation as necessary, provide professional advice on all matters relating to trees, promote the preservation and protection of existing trees in the interest of public amenity.
You will provide professional advice in respect of applications to carry out works to protected trees, advise on matters relating to trees and landscaping in respect of planning applications.
To investigate complaints regarding alleged unauthorised works to protected trees and initiate enforcement proceedings against unauthorised works to protected trees.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with Tree planning applications, have a Town Planning or Arboriculture degree.
