Job Description

Groundworks Quantity Surveyor, Junior. This is a new position to take over from the current Quantity Surveyor, who will be retiring in a year or so. We are looking for a suitable replacement to facilitate a smooth handover.

The company is an established Groundworks contractor specialising in all elements of Groundworks to include site clearance, excavation, drainage, footings and groundbeams, RC floors, brick and blockwork to DPC, soft and hard landscaping.

Project values range from £250,000 to £4m and are undertaken for residential and commercial schemes, private clients and Local Authorities.

The role will suit someone who has a sound understanding of the groundworks elements of the construction industry. You may be a trainee wishing to develop your career; already working in construction and wishing to change your focus; have previously worked in construction and wishing to return to the industry; be seeking a position that allows you to work closer to home or making the transition from a larger company to a smaller family organisation.

The salary will reflect your current level of expertise and will be pitched to encourage you to progress your career. Ongoing training will be encouraged to enable you to achieve a relevant construction qualification, time off will be available to pursue a day release or similar
