Job Description
A Bedfordshire based council wishes to appoint a Project Manager for an initial three month contract to join the housing division.
Your overall role will be deliver major programmes of work, maintaining assets in accordance with the investment adopted plan of the Council. You will also be validating information from the Asset Management plan to maximise value for money in the procurement of services and maintenance work.
You will be supervising up to five projects, ranging in value from £10,000- £100,000, from inception to completion. This will include; initial inspections, writing specifications, project plans, project management, supervision of contractors and preparing programmes in accordance with funding allocation contained in the Council's business plan.
Other duties will include being responsible for trainee project managers on the team.
The successful candidate will have experience of specifying and implementing building construction or maintenance projects. You will have a background in surveying and have a relevant qualification. Please only apply if you have access to your own vehicle.
