Quantity Surveyor. The Position offers an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 2 – 4 years post qualification experience, achieved through working for a contractor or developer, to build on that experience and move forward with one of the foremost property developers in London.

The Company have expanded in the UK and latterly have moved into Europe. The senior management staff have strong construction links and backgrounds giving them a distinctive edge over their competitors. With many notable developments already constructed or under construction the company has a full order book with work already in hand through to 2007 / 2008 and into 2009.

This Project is a major residential and commercial scheme in East London comprising apartments with integral health and leisure facilities and an adjoining hotel complex. The buildings are multi storey RC frames, whilst some structural steel will be utilised on the upper floors for penthouses and premiere suites.

Your Role will entail working with the Project Quantity Surveyors and taking on the project packages as they let them. The packages will range from IT and audio visual to M & E to External soft and hard landscaping so your training should have exposed you to some but not all of these. What is important is an ability to grasp the requirements of the role, join a young and energetic team and bring with you enthusiasm and energy and a willingness to learn.

Your Background to date will involve education to tertiary level, ideally degree qualified with a Quantity Surveying bias, employment within the UK for a recognised and progressive contractor or developer, a clear indication that you are career and progress motivated. RICS qualifications will be viewed favourably, but are not essential to fulfilling this role.
