The Company:
This unitary authority are currently looking to expand their team with a senior policy Officer.
The Role:
The role will involve doing responses to objections to their revised deposit UDP, writing proofs of evidence for their forthcoming UDP Inquiry due to begin on 8th March 2005, negotiating with objectors where necessary beforehand and possibly giving evidence at the Public Inquiry. There will also be an element of the usual day to day policy
work such as giving policy comments to Development Control, liaising
with other Council Departments on planning matters, liaising with the GLA on strategic planning issues etc.
The Person:
They are particularly looking for planners that can 'hit the ground running' and are therefore looking for policy planners that have a good grasp of planning. Ideally someone currently working in another London Borough on planning policies.
