Site Engineer. This is a young and growing Contractor coming from a sound financial background, and a strong knowledge of the construction industry. Established over 25 years ago they have always taken on Engineering staff who are prepared to “work hard and play hard, for good rewards�.

The current requirement is for a good Site Engineer with a strong personality who is able to ensure that the client’s exacting standards are met. This is a 3 phase project and phase one is just coming out of the ground, so there is plenty of opportunity for either a long contract role or a permanent position. You must be capable and competent in the use of modern survey equipment, able to clearly communicate with the foreman and workforce.

The project is a £multi million scheme providing mixed educational and support buildings over the next 10 months. Ideally you will have a formal engineering qualification at tertiary level. You will need to have a strong enough character to delay a pour until you are confident that the work meets the client’s standards. This does not mean a glut of paperwork, but you will need to be computer literate and able to organise check sheets.

The immediate requirement is for a short to medium term post working on the groundworks and RC elements and you will be able to extend this should wish to do so as the client is winning a large number of contracts currently. This position is only available for those applicants who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
