Job Description

Site Engineer. This is an additional requirement for a competent Setting Out Engineer to join the current site team. On site there is a Project Manager, Senior Engineer and Site Engineer already on board and we need a good Engineer to join them, for a long run of freelance work.

Experienced in working initially on Groundworks and following on to Reinforced Concrete structures, you will be able to set out with modern survey equipment, providing accurate and concise information to the directly employed workforce. Able to read drawings and interpret them, providing accurate information on the ground by way of line and level, you will have clear oral and written communication skills.

The Contractor is amongst the fastest growing companies in the Construction sector, turning over around £25m in 2006 – 2007, and has picked up a number of high profile projects on this and similar sites in London. The Contractor has a good record of working with their clients and aim to build on the repeat business that they already enjoy. The directly employed staff are experts in their field and you will be joining a strong team of professionals.

Remuneration is based on a good hourly rate with plenty of opportunities for long hours. A permanent position may be available if that is your preferred option.

Qualified to a tertiary level in a Civil Engineering or Land Surveying discipline you should also be CSCS carded and are likely to have a minimum of 2 - 3 years working on similar projects in the UK over the last few years. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
