Job Description
This major project will be key to the modernisation of Britain Rail infrastructure, but needs a skilled SPM to ensure its prompt implementation. The right person for the job could be you if you have a degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or ideally MEng/MSc), or a related discipline, and be working towards Chartered Engineer status with the ICE or a related professional body. You will have experience of rail-related work. You will have experience in Project Management of Rail Civil Engineering Schemes, with an awareness of other rail disciplines e.g. signalling, or electrification. You will be familiar with Network Rail’s processes, procedures, Group and Rail Standards relating to the management and engineering of projects. Essential skills include a good knowledge of the rail environment and the management of risk in construction works. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to communicate effectively and have the ability to manage time, finance and workload across a portfolio of projects. You will enjoy working in a team environment and the challenges of a multi-skilled office environment.
