Job Description
The client who works within the Railway Sector requires an Electrical Engineer with appropriate qualifications and experience to provide an acceptance role for all aspects of electrical design work undertaken by the Contractor, and also to manage any interfaces associated with electrical engineering on behalf of the Project.
Key Activities:
Review and accept the contractor’s electrical designs including control centre, SER and trackside equipments.
Check power ratings against the original estimates set out for SER supplies.
Support any outstanding load applications as necessary.
Ensure that the new power equipment, that is being installed as part of the resignalling, is appropriate and to electrical specifications.
Gain the Asset Engineer’s signed approval to proceed with the installation.
Undertake site surveys and inspections to ensure that the Contractors site installations reflect their design.
Inspection and witness testing of the Uninterruptible Power Supply equipment.
Resolve any Project/Maintenance interface problems and ensure necessary plans and procedures are in place to facilitate handover.
