Job Description

Setting out Engineer. An expanding civils contractor has an additional requirement for a stand alone and competent Setting Out Engineer to assist the site based, engineer trained, Project Manager who is heavily involved with the site paperwork. There is plenty of potential for a long run of freelance work.

You will be experienced in working on Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete structures, able to set out with modern survey equipment, capable of interpreting and providing information to the directly employed workforce, able to read drawings and interpret them, providing accurate information on the ground by way of line and level, you will have clear communication skills.

This Civils Contractor is one of the fastest growing companies in the Construction sector and has picked up a number of high profile projects on this and similar sites in London and the south-east. They have a good record of working with their clients and aim to build on the repeat business that they already enjoy. The directly employed staff are all experts in their field and you will be joining a strong team of professionals.

Remuneration is based on a good hourly rate with plenty of opportunities for long hours.

Qualified to a tertiary level in a Civil Engineering or Land Surveying discipline you will also be CSCS carded and have a minimum of 2 years working on similar projects in the UK over the last few years. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
