Job Description
Our client is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to further develop and improve the service provided by our client, providing support for the manager, night nurses and administrators working within the team.
The suitable candidate should:
• Be fully registered with An Bord Altranais
• Have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience
• Have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Palliative Care
• A post graduate qualification in Palliative Care Nursing or its equivalent
Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Manager would be:
• Liaising with night nurses
• Dealing with complaints and incident reports
• Assisting with and facilitating induction programmes for new and existing staff
• Updating policies and procedures
• Assisting with the ongoing recruitment of nurses and ensuring information on currently employed nurses is up to date
• Assisting with regular audits and reviews and implementing changes as appropriate
