Job Description
A National Housing Association wishes to appoint a Maintenance Surveyor to be based in Reading for an ongoing contract.
Your overall role will be to manage contracts and provide a responsive repairs and maintenance service for the Associations housing stock.
Duties will include inspecting properties, identifying cause of building defects, Managing maintenance contracts, conducting monthly contractor reviews, identifying planned improvement projects, managing the budgets, and liaising with loss adjusters.
It will be your responsibility to prepare specifications and tender documents for a range of contracts up to a value of up to £10,000. You will be required to produce monthly reports on planned, cyclical, disabled adaptations and gas servicing contracts.
The successful candidate will have a relevant building surveying qualification and previous experience of surveying and contract management. You will have good knowledge of legislation relating to contracts, tenders and health & Safety including CDM regulations.
