Job Description
We work very closely with the one of the leading Construction Industry Clients, BAA, to provide the Cost Management at Heathrow. The various Heathrow Projects are currently in both the design and construction phases. We are responsible for supporting in the development of commercial strategies, procurement strategies and commercial targets for various sections, as well as being responsible for implementing the processes, procedures and tools to manage them with.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work in an integrated team to support the lead M&E Manager to successfully deliver the commercial aspects of the Project required by the Client.
- Work closely with the Project Controls Team to assist in the development of integrated time and cost plans in order to measure and manage performance.
- Support in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports including forecasting and performance analysis involving close liaison with the Project Controls Team
- Support in the management and delivery of the Projects Risks and Opportunity Registers.
- Manage the cost reimbursable accounts for the team Suppliers to ensure timely payment and correlation between actual monies paid and liabilities incurred.
- Deliver successful change control with the integrated team.
- Support in the management of Incentive schemes for the integrated team Suppliers.
- Assist in the production of board papers for financial approvals demonstrating value for money through benchmarking, etc.
Skills/Qualities Required
- Minimum of 2 years M&E Quantity Surveying experience
- Smart and presentable with good all round communication skills capable of dealing effectively with all members of the construction and client team.
- Team player with the ability to plan, manage and co-ordinate work load.
- Strong influencing and negotiations skills.
- Technically strong core QS skills.
- Sound understanding of IT generally with specific skills in Excel.
- Presentation skills desirable.
- Customer focussed.
- Experience of ECC/Cost Reimbursable contracts preferable.
