Job Description
A major Power Generator in Oxfordshire wishes to employ Shift Operating Technicians. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Grade: Personal Contract
The Shift Operating Technicians operate as part of a small-integrated team under a Shift Team Leader, you will undertake a wide range of operational duties to ensure effective day to day running of the plant. Your duties will include:
· Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the plant, ensuring commercial and production targets are met, economically and within environmental limits
· Start up and shut down of plant in accordance with the operating instructions and systems
· Generate and review Operational documentation
· Compliance with site procedures.
· Chemical monitoring, analysis and plant testing
· Routine inspection of plant, fault diagnosis and first line maintenance
· Other areas of Support, such as first aid, safety rules and project work
Candidates should ideally possess:
· Experience of power plant operations and a recognised engineering background, or craft skill in electrical, mechanical, C&I or Operations discipline
· Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
· Commercial awareness and an understanding of NETA
Applicants should be able to think logically and respond quickly and confidently to problems with a minimum of supervision. It will be a requirement to work flexibly over a range of areas and to support continuous improvement and personal development.
£25000-£30000 plus £7000 Shift Allowance
