Job Description

Site Engineer. This is a new build residential project involving 5 blocks, up to 6 storeys high, on traditional footings, block and beam, slabs to 200 thick and RC cores extending to 19 / 22m. Additionally 4 blocks of RC frames set in a cluster with tiers from 10/13/16 & 19m. There will be Peri shutters used on the cores and traditional shuttering used elsewhere. Car parking facilities within residential complexes. Timber frames will be used in the upper structures of the buildings.

The Role is one that allows for either a Senior or a Site Engineer to compliment the company’s existing staff, so both levels should apply.

Externally extensive infrastructure for the site with drainage of 750mm to 4m deep, roads, paving, soft and hard landscaping. Crawler cranes will be used throughout.

You will need to be fully conversant with RC drawings and structures, aware of the shuttering requirements of constructing cores with slabs and landings tied in. Health & Safety must be a priority in your approach with clear oral and written communication skills, fully up to speed with the latest available Surveying equipment.

Work on the first 2 phases will run through to 2008 and you need to be able to work a standard 5.5 day week. In return you will have an opportunity to earn good money. You will be working for the contractor and their preference is for a permanent appointment. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
