Job Description

A highly prestigious opportunity for a qualified project architect to work for one of the major Olympic bodies on the development of 2012 venues within London.

The Venues & Infrastructure department within the organisation has the task of providing venues for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as their management and effective operation.

The Project Architect team will liaise with venue owners to optimise overlay design for each venue and produce high level 3D drawings including rendering.

The role will also require extensive liaison with the ODA (Olympic Development Authority) to gather overlay design information and to test the configuration of each new venue during design stage.

The Project Architects role will also involve extensive liaison with a range of other bodies both private and public sector to pull together all aspects of the design and planning stage and set in stone plans for the development of sites.

An architectural degree is required with 1-2 years PQE in either the private or public sector, some experience of public buildings or sporting venues would be a distinct advantage.
