Job Description
Our Client a prestigious Local London Authority is seeking to appoint a Tree Preservation Officer. Reporting to the Principle Landscape Conservation Officer you will be directly responsible for dealing with applications and notices concerning protected trees and hedgerows and landscaping proposals; advising on tree retention and protection on planning applications and woodland management, assess the tree(s) the subject of an application to carry out works, assess the impact of those works on the trees and negotiate, where appropriate, formulate reports for applications to provide information on the current condition of the tree(s) and an opinion of the acceptability of the proposals.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree or diploma in Forestry or Arboriculture, and membership of the Arboricultural Association, Institute of Chartered Foresters or Institute of Biology or a relevant tree protection/landscape planning experience
