Our Client is a leading construction, development and service group specialising in building and civil engineering, support services, private house building, property development and the Private Finance Initiative. They act in all aspects of development on a diverse range of sites throughout the UK, and has established itself as one of the UK’s leading developers.

In just four years, it has built up a portfolio totalling over 6m sq ft of offices, industrial, retail and mixed-use schemes, worth over £700m.

The role:

• As part of the Development team take full ownership and construction management responsibility for specific direct development projects.

• Oversee development projects at a strategic level co-ordinating the activities of the individual project teams from project procurement through to practical completion.

• Procurement of design and construction contractors for directly managed projects.

• Work with and coordinate all third parties including: architects design & build contractors; employer’s agents.

The Person:

• Considerable construction and project management experience.

• Likely to be degree educated with a relevant property and construction orientated professional qualification.

• A tangible track record of having detailed exposure to large development projects from inception to completion.

• The successful candidate is likely to come from either a similar developer background, project management company, building consultancy/project management division in private practice or a major property company.
