Job Description

Due to the continued success and growing workload of our water business, we are seeking to recruit a number of Mechanical and Electrical Staff to our Water & Wastewater Division in Warrington. Successful candidates will be based in one of our existing offices NorthWest. The successful candidates will join an existing team in providing M&E expertise on a wide range of water and wastewater projects across the NorthWest as well as assisting on others in the UK and overseas.

The successful candidate will be an electrical engineer with Water and Wastewater industry experience. They will be chartered or approaching chartered status. A good appreciation of mechanical engineering, ICA and civil interfacing will be a distinct advantage. You will need to be a self-motivated team player able to monitor and manage your own progress and to achieve project deadlines and team objectives. You will need to be able to communicate confidently and effectively both with clients and internally whilst operating in a competitive commercial environment.

Our projects will require the candidate to undertake duties encompassing design, site inspection, report writing, feasibility studies and technical tasks as appropriate to complete the works according to relevant Standards, Codes and Atkins Quality Assurance procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and contributing to Atkins technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects in the Water Industry and playing a key part in their successful commercial and technical completion. We will be looking for the candidate to demonstrate a proactive outlook enabling them to work with other Atkins M&E engineers across the country to advance our technical capabilities to the highest standards. They will be encouraged to identify and pursue innovative approaches and techniques to add value and competitive edge to our business growth.
