Job Description

Undertake production drawing design in house utilising CAD to the required drawing format.
To prepare design standard details for use directly by the company..
To assist the Architectural Team Leader in maintaining, reviewing and updating a library of standard clauses, specification, data etc for compiling technical specifications.
Monitor and check working drawings in relation to building regulations and NHBC requirements.
Co-ordinate and cross check the work of in house team departments
Ensure a personal knowledge and expertise in CAD and other IT matters relating to the design process is maintained and developed and assist others in the development of the departmental processes and procedures in this respect.
Research and introduce proposals for alternative approaches to design solutions.
Ensure personal knowledge of industry and professional requirements is maintained and developed.
Provide technical support and assistance to colleagues in house or on site. Person Specification
Must be educated to ONC / HNC level in Building or a related discipline.
Proven working knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2000 and ADT would be preferred.
At least 4 years relevant experience in the Housing Industry.
Ability to work on multiple / varied projects at any one time.
Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Full British driving licence.
Strong team player, good sense of humour with an energetic outlook
