Our client is a unique global consultancy in the real estate, infrastructure, industrial and construction sectors.

They employ over 2,300 people within 46 offices in over 20 different countries. The firm has worked on projects in more than 80 countries and has a projected turnover for 2003-2004 of £140 million. Over £4bn of construction per annum is handled by the business, and over one million m² of facilities are advised on or managed.

They are currently looking to recruit a construction professional to join their Leeds based Value and Risk Management Team.

The aim of the Value Management Consultant is to reconcile the differing views of stakeholders, internal and external customers to enable an organization to achieve the greatest progress towards the stated goals with the minimum resources.

You will be involved in establishing measures or estimates of value, focusing on real objectives and targets before seeking solutions and maximizing innovations and practical outcomes.

Projects include a mixture of civil engineering and building for a variety of clients; including local authorities, government departments and utilities companies.

The position requires someone with at least 10 years experience within the construction industry. This could be within a design, project management or costing role.

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of value management and examples of its application during your career history.

The role also requires the personal attributes of confidence and professionalism as well as the charisma to lead a management workshop towards its desired goal.
