Head of Estates And Facilities - Healthcare

As the Head of Estates and Facilities you will ensure the delivery of high quality Facilities Services through the effective management of resources, sound financial management and a team of over 200 staff.

You will be responsible for the Trust s facilities and estates services across two sites. The Head of Estates and Facilities will manage key strategic and operational facilities, change management programmes and key projects for the Trust, and ensure the Directorate achieves its roles and objectives.

Key areas of responsibility include Estates, security, portering, Help Desk, Cleaning, Catering, Linen, Waste and accommodation.

Suitable candidates need to be an experienced Facilities Manager within the healthcare sector. This role is customer facing, so the suitable candidate will need to have good customer service skills as well as good operational and strategic FM experience.

Ideally you will have:
Knowledge and understanding of Capital Contracts
Negotiation skills
Able to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing
Knowledge of Estates Management Procedure
Knowledge of statutory requirements including, Building Regulations, Health and Safety etc.
Numerate and IT literate to interpret/present data and integrate information.
Able to influence diverse parties to gain support
Strong interpersonal skills
Skills in undertaking option appraisal and preparing business cases for capital investment
Skills in preparing estate strategy
Skills in the financial management of capital programmes and budgeting control
Highly developed oral, written, presentation and negotiation skills
The ability to develop, communicate and gain ownership for a clear vision and direction
