Job Description

A Norfolk city Council are looking to appoint a Town Planner to their Development Control section.

The post holder will provide a professional and high quality service on behalf of the Borough in respect of handling a caseload of minor through to complex planning applications, applications for listed building consent and appeals.

You will ensure that all deadlines relating to correspondence received in relation to planning applications, listed building applications etc. are met.

Draft Committee reports that are accurate and concise and present reports to Committee Meetings in an articulate and non-jargonistic way, among other development control duties assigned by your Team Leader.

We are looking for candidates who have detailed and up-to-date knowledge of UK Town Planning legislation, have previous experience of handling major applications and hold a Town Planning degree, MRTPI would be a bonus. A driver's license is also needed for this post.
