Job Description
An east London Borough has an urgent requirement for a qualified planner to join the Policy section.
The post hold will be involved with leading on allocated projects and carry a case load ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with statutory requirements, providing specialist advice on all technical issues relating to the work of the Strategy section in accordance with the latest professional developments, where appropriate assuming and exercising statutory authority, as delegated.
Act as lead officer on the development of a range of statutory and strategic frameworks including the Development Plan and related documents. Ensuring the frameworks adhere to legal requirements and complement other Divisional, Borough, Partner and Government frameworks.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Town Planner with previous LDF and or Planning Policy Strategy experience in the UK or overseas
