Estimator, Freelance Estimator, Interim Estimator

I require an Estimator to carry out estimating for the Housing Landlord Division including a focus on attainment of new business.

You will undertake estimating duties for new jobs and tenders inc. determining material quantities from drawings and specifications, undertaking site visits to evaluate conditions, access and the position of skips, determining H&S requirements, protection , scaffolding. Monitor sub contractors invoices. Visit sites and attend site meetings measuring work in progress and completed work, preparing interim valuations and variations to estimates, pricing variation orders and producing final accounts. Check tender docs on completion ensuring work has been completed to specifications, drawings and estimate and ensure all work undertaken has been charged for.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most competently their experience of estimating job costs including building materials and electrical goods, dealing with suppliers and negotiating material process. Whilst able to calculate material quantities from specs and drawings.

This is a contract, freelance or interim assignment with an envisaged length of contract likely to run for 3-6 months with the possibility of a permanent position there after subject to performance.
