Quality Assurance Engineer. Site based for project at Woolwich. We currently require an experienced QA Engineer to supervise all aspects of QA Engineering, reporting directly to the site based Project Manager. We seek an Engineer who is able to take on the responsibility and challenges that are found on a busy site, and has the initiative to think and forward plan.

The project is in 2 distinct areas involving both a new build extensive low level multi-storey RC frame and the structural and internal refurbishment of an adjoining building.

Your role will require you to be organised and pro-active. Good written and oral communication skills are essential as are the ability to deal with the client’s representatives, the ability to read and understand construction drawings, confidence in your ability to distinguish work that is correct against work that is not suitable to be offered to the client, IT skills for report writing and presentation of results and a general understanding of how to operate safely and productively on a busy construction site.

An engineering background with formal training and qualifications, a minimum of 2- 3 years relevant site experience, working for either an RC frame contractor, a main contractor who controls the construction process or a builder / developer would be the ideal background for the successful applicant.

Current CSCS card essential and a First Aid certificate would be advantageous, but not obligatory. The site runs on a 5 ½ day week. The option is available for either a contract or a permanent role, and the client has a large number of other schemes underway. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
