Job Description
An east London Borough urgently needs an enforcement planner to join their DC section.
The role will be to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective planning enforcement service, investigating alleged breaches of planning control and recommending appropriate action.
To investigate a wide variety of enforcement cases, taking appropriate action in accordance with relevant planning legislation and guidance, make balanced decisions on the expediency of taking enforcement action in consultation with the Enforcement Team Leader.
Negotiate solutions where appropriate, prepare reports for consideration under delegated powers and by Committee and processing appeals and other legal proceedings as needed.
We are looking for and experienced enforcement officer or someone who has previously worked in an investigations role.
