Job Description

A north London Borough is looking to appoint a highly experienced Town Planner into their policy section.

The role will involve assisting the Council\'s Area Action Plans Officer in acting as the Council\'s client side representative for the production of four Area Action Plans (AAPs) within the Borough.

You will be required to deal with extensive liaison and joint working, both within the Council\'s services and externally with the appointed consultancies and other local authorities and agencies

Commenting on draft reports produced as part of the preparation of the Area Action Plans and coordinating comments from the project steering groups

Coordinating consultation on the Area Action Plans, both internally and with external consultation bodies, overseeing the Sustainability Appraisal of the Area Action Plans and prepare committee reports.

The successful candidate will hold a Town Planning degree and have previous LDF or planning policy experience in the UK.
