PROJECT PLANNERS. A major rail company, are looking to recruit 3 x Project Planners, this gives an opportunity to work for the client.

As a planner you will be in Electrification and Plant (E&P) Programme team is responsible for renewing assets that fall within the E&P portfolio. Electrification includes all elements of traction substations, associated distribution systems, and overhead and third rail contact systems.

Role and Responsibilities
·Prepare a project work breakdown structure and plan in accordance with the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and which is capable of delivering the project objectives, including during project development if required.
·Manage so that the plan is fully resourced and cost loaded and monitor progress to the plan and make changes as required. Develop recovery programme and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.
·Input the planning issues into the projects critical issues risk log. Review planning risks and monitor whether the risk register is updated accordingly.
·Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position.
·Interrogate the contractor\'s statement of progress for payment purposes.
·Identify the key possession requirements and monitor that these are properly booked.
·Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

Essential Experience

·Proven experience working with P3e.
·Successful relevant experience in the management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects.
·A working knowledge of investment programme and project controls processes and systems.
