Job Description
An Essex Council is looking for a Principal Planner to join their Development Control team.
You will be required to process a wide range of planning applications, prepare reports for Planning Committee and give advice on development control matters for Committee where required.
Other duties will include consulting and liaising on planning matters, to ensure that the necessary public participation and consultation is carried out on planning applications. Deal with enforcement matters and prepare cases for Appeals and appear as the Council\'s representative at Hearings and Inquires. There will also be an element of mentoring for junior planners.
You will have had similar planning experience in the UK.
