Their core workload is building structures and includes work from both the public and private sectors. Particular areas of focus are education, leisure, healthcare, commercial, religious and cultural buildings and bespoke residential. This gives them a broad range of interesting and varied projects and ensures that the workflow does not fluctuate subject to the trends of any one sector.

The company has an excellent local reputation for delivering projects to budget, on time and to a high standard, which has resulted in them winning a lot of repeat business. To achieve this the company maintains a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which has a close-knit family feel to it. As a manageable group there is a significant lack of ‘red-tape’ which means issues are resolved very quickly and team happiness is paramount to the success of the company. Staff therefore have regular reviews and are consulted on how their job can be made more enjoyable or how their careers can develop in the way they desire. This has helped the company to maintain a very low staff turn-over in recent years.

As a Director there is scope to be either an equity or non-equity member of the practice. This role has arisen from the two founding Directors decision to move towards retirement, so it is an excellent opportunity to pick up a well founded team with a strong workload. Directors of the company are responsible for the day to day running of the practice. Each has responsibilities for the technical quality of design, delegation of work, running of projects and development of the workload and client base.
