Based in Buckinghamshire this Local Authority is under an hour from central London by train or car. The busy housing maintenance team is currently looking to take on an experienced Building Surveyor on a permanent basis, to start as soon as possible.

A major element of this role will be dealing with the public in various situations, from inspecting their properties through to dealing with complaints and providing consultation.

With at least 3 years experience in a Building Surveying environment all applicants should hold a minimum of HNC level in building (or equivalent). A good working knowledge of CDM regulations is required along with experience in fault diagnosis. Applicants must be able to write specifications and prepare tender documents. It is desirable, though not essential, that applicants have experience in a social housing environment, and have experience at a supervisory level. All applicants must hold a current driving licence. The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
