Once a byword for urban decay, this Local Authority has transformed itself down the years into a thriving community with improved housing, enviable leisure facilities and sporting venues. As the regeneration continues the work increases for their planning department and as such they now require Development Control Planners with strong (say 4 to 5 years) experience which should include work on major schemes along with the day-to-day work associated with Development Control. A positive, proactive outlook is demanded by the client. Communication skills should be of the highest order as the ability to negotiate with all interested parties is paramount. In addition customer care skills gained in a similar environment are important. The nature of the job requires that you be a car owner and driver. This is an initial 6 month contract, which likely to be extended as the work demands.
