Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer is required for this Civil and Structural Engineering practice. They are involved with a broad range of projects of all types and sizes throughout the UK and overseas. These include the design of new buildings and the refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings. The design of infrastructure works and special structures using a variety of materials are frequently undertaken.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the civil engineering aspects of various small and medium sized projects. On larger projects responsible under direct supervision of a Partner/Senior Associate.
The specific duties include;
Design road horizontal & vertical alignments using data from topographical survey and architects layouts
Northing and Eastings for co-ordinates
Site orientation to survey grid
Dealing with utility company to serve site
Production of co-ordinated services layouts
Simulation and storage modules
Microdrainage software
Design of water attenuation systems
Drainage schemes
Conversant with building regulations
Water authorities re sewer, flow discharge and flood risk assessment
Reading of architect, M&E and Structural Eng drawings
Liaison with architects, clients, contractors, attending meetings
ICE conditions of contract and contract admin
Use of AutoCAD to read drawings
Production of layout from scratch for use by Cad draughtsman
Experience required:
Min 2 yrs relevant post chartered experience (or equivalent) working in a similar role
Experience of overall management and control of client projects and / or practice management issues.
Involvement with ‘high profile’ Architects
Chartered status ideal, either MICE of MIStructE
